As a photography enthusiast, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of capturing the perfect shot. Recently, I took a significant step forward in my photography journey: I became a contributor on iStock by Getty Images. With a new camera in hand and a portfolio of images I’m proud of, I’m now selling my photos to a global audience. Here’s how I got here and what the experience has been like so far.

The Application Process

To start, I visited their contributor application page (https://www.gettyimages.it/lavoraconnoi) and read through their requirements.

The first step was to submit a selection of my photos. Ultimately, I selected shots that I felt best represented my creative vision and technical skills.

Building My Portfolio

Once accepted, the next step was to build my iStock portfolio.

This process involved uploading my photos, tagging them with appropriate keywords, and writing descriptive captions to make them discoverable. I’ve focused on curating a collection that reflects my strengths and interests.

What’s Next

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue exploring new subjects and techniques. My goal is to keep growing my portfolio, experimenting with different styles, and learning from the process.

Becoming an iStock contributor has been a rewarding experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my work with a global audience. If you’ve ever thought about selling your photos, I encourage you to give it a try. You never know where your photography might take you.
